This one’s a great shout if your kids are into bikes.
Pedal Progression is a mountain bike and skill coaching company based in Ashton Court Estate, Bristol. They exist to inspire, excite and develop mountain bikers in Bristol and across the South West. Whatever your age, ability or skill level, they are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and have fun.
You can hire mountain bikes for kids and adults, then head straight onto the trail network that runs through the forest. There are beginner-friendly routes as well as longer trails if you want to go further.
If your child is new to riding off-road, they also run coaching sessions to help build confidence and skills.
The setting is what makes it work. It’s proper outdoor riding rather than going round and round a small track. Trees, forest paths, and loads of fresh air.
It’s also a nice way to introduce kids to mountain biking without needing to buy loads of equipment first - just hire the bikes and give it a go.
If your family enjoys cycling, this is a really solid outdoor activity.
