This is proper British seaside nostalgia.
Treasure Island in Eastbourne sits right on the seafront, and it feels exactly like that - salty air, kids running wild, slightly chaotic but in a good way.
The main pirate-themed playground is big. Not tiny-town-park big. Proper wooden forts, rope bridges, climbing bits, slides - the kind of place where you lose sight of your child for 30 seconds and immediately start scanning the horizon like a lifeguard.
There’s also crazy golf, which is a solid add-on if you want to stretch the visit out a bit.
It’s not luxury. It’s not pristine theme park polish. It’s a bit rough round the edges in that classic seaside way. But the kids absolutely don’t care. They’re too busy pretending they’re pirates.
If you’re in Eastbourne with children and need an easy win that’s outdoors and reasonably priced, this does the job nicely.
Seaside. Pirate vibes. Energy burned. Everyone sleeps well later.
