What Alex has to say...

This is proper classic British pier energy.

Walton Pier has the arcades, flashing lights, grab machines, coin pushers, kids rides - everything you expect when you’re by the seaside.

The problem?

You can spend a lot of money very quickly. And those machines are absolute pros at making you think you’re about to win something… right before they don’t quite grab it.

The kids love it at first. The noise. The lights. The buzz. But after a while, it can feel like sensory overload. Flashing screens everywhere, constant sound effects - you’ll know about it by the time you leave.

There are some small rides and bits outside which break things up a bit, but this is mainly an arcade-heavy experience.

Is it fun? Yes - in short bursts.

Is it great value? Debatable. It’s very easy to walk out lighter in the wallet without much to show for it other than a small plastic toy.

If you go, set a budget before you step inside. Trust me.
