What Alex has to say...

This one’s big. Like… proper full-day big.

West Midlands Safari Park is split into two clear parts: the drive-through safari and the walk-around park with rides and animals. And honestly, that combo is what makes it so good.

The drive-through safari is the headline act. You’re in your own car, cruising past lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants — and yes, the monkeys if you’re brave enough (or don’t mind risking your windscreen wipers). It feels properly immersive because you’re not behind glass — you’re in it.

Then you’ve got the walk-around area with smaller animals and a decent-sized theme park section. It’s not Alton Towers, but for kids it’s brilliant. Enough rides to keep them excited without it feeling overwhelming.

It’s not cheap. This is not a “quick cheap afternoon” attraction. But you do get a serious amount for your money, especially if you stay all day.

This is one of those places where you leave thinking, “Yeah, that was worth the trip.”

Big animals. Big space. Big day out.
